I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Top of the Rock

We were given complimentary tickets to Top of the Rock for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Top of the Rock

Where: 30 Rockefeller Plaza
             New York, New York

Who: All ages

The Empire State Building is not the only place to see beautiful views in New York City. It will cost you at least $75 to go to the top of the Empire State Building, $69 for children. Even for seniors, the cost is $73. To go all the way up all three levels of the Top of the Rock, it costs between $32 and $38 depending on if you are an adult, child, or a senior, and the views are just as beautiful. In fact, you can probably enjoy the view better from the 850 feet up of the Top of the Rock than you can from the 1,250 feet up of the Empire State Building. Also, tickets for Top of the Rock are timed so you don't have to wait in a long line before you can go up.

Although the nice views are definitely the highlight of the Top of the Rock. There is more to it than that. There is also an exhibit on the history of Rockefeller Center to visit as well as three short films to watch . The films include one on NBC's history with Rockefeller Center and one on the Rockefeller Christmas tree as well as a film on the history of Rockefeller. Center itself. If you aren't interested in visiting the exhibit and/or watching the films, you can easily skip them and go straight up to the top. The exhibit and the films are interesting, however, and definitely worth seeing, and they don' take very long as the exhibit is not that big and the films are only about 4 minutes each.

Top of the Rock is open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. For more information or to purchase
 tickets, visit www.topoftherocknyc.com.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
