I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Books: The Wool Over Their Eyes and Misc: Olay Cleansing & Revitalizing Hand Wash with Vitamin B3 + Vitamin C

We may have been given a complimentary copy for review purposes of any books and/or other products mentioned below. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Books: The Wool Over Their Eyes

Today we are recommending The Wool Over Their Eyes by Dionne Martin. Natalia Foster, a bi-racial young woman, is the product of her mother's affair with a married white man. When she finds out that the father she's never known is dying of cancer, Natalia only wants to meet him and find out a little about her heritage, but her father's other family would prefer that she remains a secret and stays out of their lives and their family. This is a very timely book about race relations within a family. The story is very realistic in that it doesn't offer easy solutions. While some people can grow and change and overcome their prejudices, others cannot. The book is not only a family saga, however. It is also a love story because aside from her family issues, Natalia is also torn between her former boyfriend, Tyler and her new boyfriend David. At times, this book will. make you angry, and it should, but it will also make you happy and even hopeful at times as well.

Misc: Olay Cleansing & Revitalizing Hand Wash with Vitamin B3 + Vitamin

Today we are recommending Olay Cleansing & Revitalizing Hand Wash with Vitamin B3 + Vitamin C. It feels really soft and smooth on the skin when you wash. It's like massaging your hands as you wash them. It rinses out fairly easily as well. It leaves your hands feeling softer and fresher, and it even smells nice,

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
