I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesdays - Books: All Over the Map: Two Lovers, Six Continents, and a Date with Destiny & Podcasts: Saints Sinners & Serial Killers

We may have been given complimentary copies for review purposes of any books and/or other products listed below and/or complimentary access to any audio or visual media. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Books: All Over the Map: Two Lovers, Six Continents, and a Date with Destiny

Today we are recommending All Over the Map: Two Lovers, Six Continents, and a Date with Destiny by Tanya Zaufi. This enchanting book is at once a charming love story and an exotic travelogue. Tanya and Josef met in 1997 when they were both working on the same cruise ship. It was love at first sight, but she was from Canada and he was from Austria. Even though all they ever wanted was to be together, it took many years and numerous obstacles in their way for them to be able to clear a path to truly be together. This book gives you the opportunity to follow them on their journey and not only share in their love story but also learn about the numerous places they visited along the way. It will satisfy both your emotions and your wanderlust.

Podcast: Saints Sinners & Serial Killers

Today we are recommending Saints Sinners & Serial Killers hosted by Casey Sherman and Dave Wedge. Both Sherman and Wedge are investigative journalists and their podcast takes you inside the investigations of notorious crimes many of which you are probably familiar with as well as some that you may not be. To date, they have covered the Boston Marathon bombing, the murder of John Lennon, the case of Whitey Bulger, and more. No matter how much you think you know about any of these cases, you will learn even more through listening to this podcast, and you may even change your view of them.  Sherman and Wedge's coverage of the Boston strangler case is particularly intriguing because not only was Sherman's own aunt allegedly a victim of the killer, but their view of the case differs from the official take as they do not necessarily think that Albert De Salvo was the killer of Sherman's aunt or maybe of any of the victims. If you are a true crime aficionado, you are definitely not going to want to miss this podcast.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
