Fun Museums for Kids in New York

New York City has so many things for kids to do and places for kids to go including many fun museums. Below we will talk about some of these museums.

1- New York Historical Society - This museum has a whole section devoted to kids. They also often have exhibits that are devoted to favorite children's book characters like Madeline, The Pigeon, and Eloise. These exhibits usually remain at the museum for several months,

2 - The Museum of the Moving Image - This museum has lots of fun interactive exhibits related to films and a whole exhibit on Jim Henson and the muppets.

3- The Whitney Museum of American Art - Although you might not think this is the kind of museum children would enjoy, there are fun things for kids to do here. There is a special tour for kids as well as changing art projects to do related to some of the artworks in the museum's galleries.

4 - New York City Fire Museum - Kids who are fascinated by fire trucks and other things related to fire fighting would especially love this museum.

5- Children's Museum of the Arts - Kids can see famous artworks and create artworks of their own.

6- American Museum of Natural History - This is probably one of the most famous museums in the world. There is so much for kids to do, see, and learn about here.
