I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Swingtime

What: Swingtime

Where: 2390 US 9 South
              Howell, NJ

Who: All ages

A fun family-friendly place to go in the vicinity of Monmouth and Ocean County, New Jersey is Swingtime. Swingtime offers miniature golf, batting cages, and an arcade. Swingtime is open seven days a week from Spring until late fall. It is, however, weather-dependent.  When the weather is bad, only the indoor arcade remains open. After it rains, it may take up to an hour to reopen the golf course and/or batting catches so keep that in mind when planning a visit on a day when there is inclement weather.

The gorgeous golf course is covered with hills and rocks, and even a functioning waterfall. The course includes two separate 18-hole miniature golf courses. Each course includes its own highlights. One brings you right over the waterfall, the other brings you into a cave under the mountain where you can watch the water rushing by next to you. Golf course tickets are available every day weather permitting up until 45 minutes before closing time.

There are five different batting cages available each offering a different speed including slow, medium and fast baseball plus slow and medium softball. Although anyone can use the batting cages group rentals are only available for teams. Under normal circumstances, bats and helmets are provided but during Covid, you must bring your own bat and helmet.

The indoor arcade is jampacked with over 50 games. It includes such popular games as Dance, Dance Revolution, Air Hockey, and many more. Unlike the golf, course and the batting cage, even when the weather is bad, the arcade is still open.
