I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Community: Going Back to School With Television's Best Sitcom & Nash Falls; Movie: Time Travel is Dangerous

Books: Community Going Back to School With TV's Best Sitcom & Nash Falls

Today, we recommend Community: Going Back to School With Television's Best Sitcom by Erin Giannini. This book offers a comprehensive and fascinating look at the 2009 - 2015 TV series. It explores how the series came about, including the genesis of the idea for the series as well as the background of both the cast and the creator. It assesses the show's place in sitcom history and what sets it apart from other sitcoms. It also delves rigoroulsy into each of the main characters and thoroughly explores numerous plotlines.

In the last section of the book, the author provides an in-depth discussion of the alleged 25 best episodes of the series and offers a quite convincing argument for each of her choices. If you are a fan of the series, you are definitely going to want this must-have book, but even if you are not, you still may enjoy this intriguing look at a very unique television series

Today, we recommend Nash Falls by David Baldacci. When Walter Nash is recruited by the FBI to provide information regarding the illegal activities his company is involved in, it puts him in the crosshairs of extremely dangerous criminals and changes his life in unimaginable ways. This is another intoxicating thriller by David Baldacci. It is fast-paced, exciting, and full of numerous unpredictable twists and turns. It is heart-racing, heart-pounding, heartbreaking, and completely unputdownable.

Before choosing this book, be aware that it ends on a cliffhanger. Thus, if you don't want to get caught up in an alleged two-book series, you'll likely want to skip it. If you do so, however, you will be missing out on a really compelling book.

Movie: Time Travel is Dangerous

Today, we recommend Time Travel is Dangerous. This film offers an extremely unique spin on the time travel genre. It revolves around two women who find a time machine and begin traveling back in time to steal items to sell in their vintage store. This is not just a sci-fi adventure story but a story of human connection and deep friendship. Although some parts of the story may be confusing, it is still quite enjoyable overall. It is fun, exciting, and even heartwarming.

And that's our view. Community: Going Back to School With Television's Best Sitcom and Nash Falls were published last Tuesday, November 11. 2025. Time Travel is Dangerous will be available in select theaters and On Demand starting this coming Friday, September 21, 2025

Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
