I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Fixing Frankie is a musical about a young gay man growing up in the '70s and '80s while grappling with questions of faith, sexuality, and more. His most steady relationship is with his platonic best friend, Margaret. On the one hand, their loyalty to each other is admirable; on the other, it is somewhat unhealthy and even prevents them from fully committing to a serious relationship with someone else. In any case, true happiness always seems to be just out of Frankie's reach, and not just because of his relationship with  Margaret.

Although George Psomas is fine in the role of Frankie, the show's standouts are Laura Pavles as Margaret and Greyson Chapman as young Frankie. Pavles's Margaret is fiesty, confident, and brimming with energy. Chapman is a true triple threat. He acts, sings, and dances, and does all of them with a ton of charm. The rest of the cast is also fine, but not as unforgettable as Pavles and Chapman.

The show does have some fun songs. They include "15 More Minutes to Play," sung mostly by Chapman, as well as "Prayermare," a song that channels the Andrews sisters, sung by Pavles, Andrea Bianchi, and Felicia Finley. However, not all of the songs are as memorable.
