Me - Mama, I’m a Big Girl Now was such a fun and joyous show! Kerry Butler, Marissa Jaret Winokur, and Laura Bell Bundy have incredible chemistry as a trio. It’s extremely clear that they have been friends for years and genuinely love being on stage together and for the entire length of the performance their joy permeated throughout the audience too. Their voices are amazing as well and it was so exciting to hear them revisit songs from various projects each of them has done in the past, including Legally Blonde, Xanadu, and obviously Hairspray, among others. Between songs, they shared stories about their lives, their careers, and their friendship with each other in a way that was both heartwarming and humorous. If you’re a fan of any of these actresses, or even just Hairspray, I highly recommend this show for a lighthearted, nostalgic, and entertaining night of theatre.
Mom - If you are looking for a light, fun, gleefully happy evening of song, you won't want to miss Mama, I'm a Big Girl Now! Marissa Jaret Winokur, Kerry Butler, and Laura Bell Bundy forged the bonds of friendship over twenty years ago as Broadway co-stars, and they have remained friends throughout the years. Now, they are bringing their friendship to the stage. They joyously share songs, stories, and more from their respective pasts including but not limited to songs and memories of the musical that brought them together, Hairspray. The entire event is like a lovefest not only among the three performers who clearly adore each other but between the performers and the audience as well. It's just a jubilant delight from start to finish. You won't want to miss it!
