I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Books: Where the Truth Lies & Movies: Pooling to Paradise

We may have been given complimentary copies of any books and/or other products mentioned below for review purposes as well as access to any films. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Books: Where the Truth Lies

Today we are recommending Where the Truth Lies by Anna Bailey. When a young girl disappears, the secrets of a small town come to light. At first, this book is a little hard to get into because the town at its center and the majority of its inhabitants seem so filled with despair and hopelessness that there doesn't seem to be any redeeming factor. Also, the story is very slow moving and there are some extremely disturbing elements to it. However, the mystery at its center is interesting enough that it will keep you wanting to read, and there are enough twists and turns in the narrative to keep the story from being too predictable.

Movies: Pooling to Paradise

Today we are talking about Pooling to Paradise. Pooling to Paradise is about a mommy blogger on her way to a conference who ends up sharing a road trip rideshare to Paradise, Nevada with three other people instead. This is a movie about people connecting in unexpected ways and learning things about life and themselves in the process. Although the movie and its characters were interesting, it all seems to go by so quickly. The characters are mostly likable, but you don't get to know enough about them. It definitely leaves you wanting to know more.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
