What: Together Apart
Where: Broadway on Demand
When: Through August 20, 2021
Who: Teens and Up
Together Apart is a collection of ten mini-musicals created and performed over Zoom by Lisa Loeb and other alumni of Brown University. The musicals are all quite short, however, and the whole thing only takes about an hour and a half. The shows highlight what life has been like for all of us over the course of the pandemic. There are stories about Zoom meetings, Zoom dating, Zoom schooling, and more. The show is filled with both humor and pathos and will definitely take you on an emotional journey. None of the music will necessarily stick in your head, but the stories are memorable. Just about anyone should be able to identify with at least some parts one or more of them.
And that's our view. Although you must have a Broadway on Demand account, to watch the show, it is free to sign up for an account and you don't have to pay to watch the show either. However, the show is meant to be a fundraiser for The Actor's Fund so if you can afford to donate to watch they kindly request that you do. To sign up for an account, to watch Together Apart, or to find out more go to broadwayondemand.com.
Tune in Sunday for this week's Sunday Scoop.
