I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Me & Mom - A fun family friendly exhibit which can currently be found at the Museum of the City of New York is A City for Corduroy. This captivating and diverting exhibit is not only about Corduroy, arguably Don Freeman, American author, illustrator, and more's most famous work, but his other work as well. The City referred to in the title of the exhibit is, of course, New York since Cordouroy as well as many of  Freeman's other works is set there, which explains the exhibit's inclusion in a museum devoted to said City. In addition to writing other books among other things Freeman also created Broadway posters and wrote a number of other children's books. The exhibit includes some of his posters, drawings from his books and more including lots of pictures of Corduroy in various stages of development. There are also a lot of cool interactive elements that children will especially enjoy. They can read or listen to Cordoruroy or other Don Freeman books. They can perform on a little stage. They can use a computer painting program to color in Corduroy. They can count the assorted buttons that decorate the walls of the exhibit in tribute to the button Corduroy searches for in the famous book. Children will really love this engrossing and entertaining  exhibit and adults who read Don Freeman's books  as a child especially Corduroy will love the nostalgia of it. The exhibit will be running through June 23, 2019.
