I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Books - The East End & Games: Monster Chase, Zombie Kidz Evolution, & SOS Dino

We may have been given one or more of the books and/or other products mentioned below for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Books: The East End

The East End: A Novel by [Allen, Jason]

Mom - Today I am recommending The East End by Jason Allen. This fast paced thrill ride of a novel takes place over the course of a weekend in The Hamptons. Corey; a young man from the wrong side of the tracks; Leo his mother's wealthy boss; Henry, Leo's illicit lover and Angelica an orphaned young woman who has been best friends with Leo's daughter since childhood all converge on a Hampton's House when noone is supposed to be there. Then, there is a mysterious death, a coverup,  a blackmail scheme, and more. This book reads like a really exciting action movie. It draws you in right away and keeps pulling you along at a nonstop pace until the final page.

Games: Monster Chase, Zombie Kidz Evolution, and SOS Dino

Me & Mom - Today we are recommeding three games from Iello Games.

The first game we are recommending is Monster Chase. In this game, the object is to get all the monsters to go back in the closet. This game is fun, and easy to play even for very young children There are also alternate ways to play that make the game a little more difficult  and more fun for older children. It is a cooperative game where the players compete as a team to reach a common goal rather than play against each other. It can be played by up to 6 players or even by one player alone.

The second game we are recommending is Zombie Kidz Evolution. The object of this game is to lock the school before it is over run by Zombies. This game is meant for slightly older children of 7 and above. It is also easy to play. It is also a cooperative game where players play together. This game also has alternate ways to play which keeps it interesting because you are not always playing the exact same game in the exact same way. This game can be played by 2 to 4 players.

The third game we are recommending is SOS Dino. In this game, the object is to save Dinosaurs and Dinosaur eggs from erupting volocanoes. This game is a little more complicated than the two previous games and requires a lot of set up. This game is also meant for ages 7 and up. It also can be played a variety of ways. It also is cooperative game, and can be played by a solo player or by up to 4 players playing together.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday
