I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

             New York, NY

When: Through May 4, 2019

Me  & Mom - The current exhibit at the Museum at FIT Fabrics in Fashion is all about the different materials clothes can be made of. These include silk, cotton, wool, and more. There is a section of the exhibit for each material.  The exhibit also explores the history of fashion as well as how the same fabrics can used in different ways to create different looks. There are silk woven dresses. There are cotton dresses from the early 18th Century. There is also so much more as well including a dress which lights up with different patterns one after the other representing different patterns that were popular at different times. Designers represented in the exhibit include Mila Schon, Balenciaga, Galanos, and more. There are clearly a lot of beautiful clothes that have been made out of lot of different kinds of materials and many of them are on display in this fascinating exhibit. As with all Museum at FIT exhibits, the exhibit is completely free. It will run through May 4, 2019.
