I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

New York Public Library Tour and School of Rock- The Musical

Me - The New York Public Library Tour, wow! The New York Public Library Tour was very interesting.  We learned a lot about the library and got to see a lot of the library on the tour. It was huge. There was a lot of pretty artwork of different types all over. They even had water fountains with lion sculptures. The water comes out of the lions mouth. It reminded me of the famous lions outside. The lions outside are called Patience and Fortitude. We learned that when we went to the New York Spring Spectacular. The library is so big that they they have whole rooms for things that other libraries just have sections for like maps and magazines and stuff. A lot of people from other countries visit the library. When we were on the tour there was only one other family of Americans the rest of the people were from other countries. My favorite part of the library was the children's section. It is not really part of the tour but we visited it anyway. The children's section is the only section where you can actually take books out. The rest of the books have to be used at the library. I don't understand why they would have such a huge library where you can't even take books out. Other than that it is really cool library.

We were given free tickets to School of Rock - The Musical for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.
Me- School of Rock - The Musical , wow! School of Rock was  a really good show. I liked everything about it. The music was really great. My favorites song was If Only You Would Listen. The kids were really really talented. It is cool how they can all sing and a lot of them play instruments too. I liked them all so much I couldn't even choose a favorite. The adults in the show were also really good. I thought at first I wouldn't like Alex Brightman who played the main character, Dewey Finn. I didn't think he would be able to live up to Jack Black's performance in the movie of the same name. However, he ended up being really really good too, and I was pleasantly surprised. I already knew I liked the story because I had seen the movie a couple of times. In the show, the story was pretty much the same as in the movie. I liked that it was familiar. School of Rock was a really great show, and I definitely would recommend seeing it. I would see it again myself if I had the opportunity.

And that's Melia's view. Tune in tomorrow for Funtivity Friday.
