I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday- Books: Bubble World and The Precious One

This post may contain affilate links. If you click on a link and make a purchase, we may be compensated.
Me- Today I am recommending Bubble World by Carol Snow. It is about a girl named Freesia. She lives in this perfect world where they don't have to work at all. They just party and shop and have a good time 24/7. Then, there are starting to be some issues with the perfect world, and Freesia starts to learn that beauty isn't everything.  This is a very futuristic book. You may have to read parts of the book a few times to really get what's going on, but it's worth it. It is really suspenseful and unpredictable. It was totally different than I expected. A lot of the time, it was so intriguing that I couldn't but it down. I liked the way the main character developed throughout the book. All  in all, this is a very good book.
Mom- Today I am recommending The Precious One by Marisa de lo Santos. The Precious One is the story of Taisy, whose father left her family years ago to start a new better family. It is also the story of Willow, Taisy's half-sister, their father's favored daughter. Up to now, Willow has led a very sheltered life, but she is suddenly thrust into the world of public school for the first time. When Taisy accepts her father's request to come for an extended visit, she not only meets her little sister for the first time, but she comes face to face with the man she left behind but hasn't forgotten.  As for Willow, she considers Taisy an intruder more than a family member, but she has no idea how much she needs her big sister and how much all of their lives will change as a result of their father bringing them together. This book is a really sweet story. At it's center are three really touching relationships: Taisy and Ben's, Willow and Luka's and Taisy and Willow's. Any one of these relationships would have made a great book on its own. All of them in one book, makes this book a really great read. One that will stay with you long after you put it down.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
