Peddler's Village is a quaint little shopping area located in Bucks County, PA. It's only about 10 minutes away from the Bucks County Playhouse, making it a good place to go before or after a show for a bite to eat or a walk around. It is not a good place for people with mobility issues because instead of being clumped in one area, the buildings are clustered around in different locations throughout the property, and the area is quite hilly. It is also best to be mindful of the weather conditions when planning a visit because there will be a lot of walking around outside.
The village is peppered with charming little independent stores rather than the chain stores you can see anywhere. Among other things, you can find books, furniture, art, and apparel stores. There are also restaurants but no generic food court. There is even an inn on the property, which is a popular spot for weddings.
Numerous fun events are hosted throughout the year. They include art exhibits, concerts, shows, and other special events related to a holiday or the season, like an apple festival, a gingerbread competition, the recently ended sand castle exhibit, and more. Events coming up this month include a Pet Photography Competition and Exhibit, an Autumn Wedding Show, and the beginning of the Scarecrows in the Village exhibit.
And that's our view. Peddler's Village is open all year long, although hours may vary in different seasons. For more information, visit peddlersvillage.com.
Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
