If you are not a big Agatha Christie fan, you may not be as familiar with her novel, Murder on the Links, as you are with her more well-known stories, such as Murder on the Orient Express and And Then There Were None. It is also not one of her most exciting stories, although this is not to say that it isn't intriguing at all. The story, which revolves around a dead man found on a golf course, takes a few unexpected twists and turns, as typical of a Christie story. Of course, some of these are more interesting and unexpected than others. At least one major revelation is actually rather clichéd and kind of disturbing, and it happens way more than you would think in literature and other media, although not necessarily in other Christie novels. To say more would be a spoiler.
However, that being said, the cast does well in their roles. The set, costumes, and lighting are all terrific. Plus, even though the show is not a musical, you get to hear the lovely-voiced Kate Baldwin and Lauren Worsham sing, although the singing is mostly in French, and it is unclear what the singing actually has to do with the plot.
