I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

More Theater Monday - I and You

We received complimentary tickets to I and You for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: I and You

Where: McCarter Theatre
             91 University Pl.
             Princeton, NJ

Who: Recommended for Ages 10 and Up

When: Through October 12, 2024

I and You is a deeply touching, but also incredibly heartbreaking story. Although on the surface, it is about two teenagers developing a deep bond while working on a homework project, there is so much more to the story than that. Caroline, confined to her home awaiting a liver transplant, starts off as prickly and standoffish. Anthony is sweet and persistent, and it's heartwarming how he is finally able to cut through her defenses. The relationship between the two develops slowly and believably until suddenly the gut-punch ending turns everything you thought you knew on its head

The show stars Jasmine Forsberg as Caroline and Benji Santiago as Anthony. They are each terrific in their respective roles. Plus, they share a nice chemistry.

The show was originally a play; however, the characters' emotions are so beautifully expressed through song that it's hard to believe it would capture the same feelings quite as wonderfully without them. This is a show that will stay in your heart and in your mind long after you have seen it.
