I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

More Theater Monday - Relative Stranger

We received complimentary tickets to Relative Stranger for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed are our own.

What: Relative Stranger

Where: SoHo Playhouse
            15 Vandam St.
            New York, NY

Who: Recommended for Ages 18 and Up

When: Through September 28, 2025

Comedian Chanel Ali had a difficult childhood. Among other things, she had to deal with a schizophrenic mother, an abusive grandmother, and numerous foster homes. Meeting her cop father at age 18 did not exactly make things better.

Now, she has channeled her trauma into a new show that tells her story in a way that is both hilarious and heartbreaking. At its core, however, it is hopeful and inspirational because, despite everything she has been through, she has been able to survive and thrive, and maybe others can survive whatever they've had to deal with too.

And that's our view. For more information about Relative Stranger or to purchase tickets, visit

Tune in tomorrow for Tips for Tuesday.
