Books: Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye & Killer Tracks
Today, we recommend Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye by Ellie Phillips, DDS. In this book, Phillips details an allegedly better way of caring for your teeth than the usual cycle of brushing, flossing, and twice-yearly dental visits for teeth cleaning. In her opinion, some of the advice you receive from your dentist is not only ineffective but may actually be harmful.
In the first part of the book, Phillips discusses what's wrong with the currently accepted system of dental care. In the second, she outlines her Complete Mouth Care System. Her description is quite thorough and includes exact details, right down to when to do what and what type of products you need. If you are looking to improve your dental health and/or the way you care for your teeth, you'll want to read this book and try Phillips' method.
Today, we recommend Killer Tracks: A Misty Pines Mystery by Mary Keiilkoa. Sheriff Jax Turner worries about leaving his young deputies in charge when he and his ex-wife go off to an isolated cabin to reconnect; however, when a serial killer he helped put in jail gets out on a technicality, they may not be as off the grid as he would like. At the same time, Abby Kaneoka, daughter of Jax's former partner, is left in charge for the first time and eager to prove that she's more than up to the task.
This is a fast-paced and intriguing mystery. Even though it deals with a sociopathic serial killer, it is somewhat light in tone, and it is not overly descriptive in a creepy or gory way, so even if you are not a fan of darker-toned mysteries, you may still like it. You also don't have to have read either of the previous books in the series to follow this book or enjoy it.
