I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Blooming Wonders

We were given complimentary tickets to Blooming Wonders for the purpose of review. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Blooming Wonders

Where: Artechouse
             439 W. 15th St.
             New York, NY

Who: All ages

When: Through September 14, 2025

Artechouse, New York's first permanent digital art museum, currently has two alternating exhibits. The first is Amplified, an homage to rock and roll, which we previously posted about here. The second is Blooming Wonders, a celebration of nature.

Immerse yourself in our natural world in this vibrant, colorful, constantly moving exhibit. Sit and relax on a bench or a pillow as an array of butterflies, flowers, and more swirl by. While many will enjoy this digital sojourn with nature and may even find it soothing, those who are negatively affected by rapidly moving images will likely want to skip it.

Several playful, interactive elements are part of the exhibit. Blooming Strings are displays that can be played like musical instruments by waving your arms around. The sounds make the flowers bloom, changing the pictures. Upcycle is an addicting game whose objective is to eliminate garbage and find reusable items. There is also a digital version of the classic Japanese game Pachinko. These are just a few fun ways to commune with nature digitally in this joyful exhibit.

And that's our view. For more about Blooming Wonders or to purchase tickets, visit www.artechouse.com/location/nyc.

Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
