I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Still More Theater Saturday - Jack Offerman's Big Uncut Flick

We were given complimentary tickets to Jack Offerman's Big Uncut Flick for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What:Jack Offerman's Big Uncut Flick

Where: 59E59 Theaters
             59 E. 59 St.
             New York, NY

When: This event was part of the East to Edinburgh Festival and concluded on July 27, 2026

Jack Offerman's Big Uncut Flick takes place in a small midwestern television station during the Saturday afternoon broadcast of a hardboiled detective movie. The action fluctuates between the film itself and the behind-the-scenes goings on at the station. Full of crazy characters and chaotic situations, which include live commercials, operating difficulties, sound problems, and more, the whole show is just a delightfully joyous escapade. It doesn't matter if you actually recall those Saturday afternoon B movies and the days when anything could go wrong with a TV broadcast and frequently did, or if you are too young to remember. Anyone can enjoy this extremely over-the-top show.

And that's our view. Jack Offerman's Big Uncut Flick will next be heading to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. For more about the show, go to biguncutflick.com.

Tune in tomorrow for this week's Sunday Scoop.
