I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To- Go Wednesday - Bury the Hatchet

We received a complimentary visit to Bury the Hatchet for review purposes, Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Bury the Hatchet

Where: 419 Rte. 34
             Matawan, NJ
             (for other locations, visit burythehatchet.com/axe-throwing-locations

Who: Ages 10 and Up only

If you are interested in a unique way to spend an hour or two, you might enjoy participating in an ax-throwing session at one of Buy the Hatchet's numerous locations. It is also a surprisingly fun and safe way to take out your aggression rather than taking it out on your friends, family, and total strangers. Although ax-throwing may seem pretty scary and you may at first be wary of participating, Bury the Hatchet's employees are well-trained and friendly. They teach the proper way to throw an ax and keep an eye out throughout your visit to ensure that things go well and everyone stays safe.

If for some reason you have trouble throwing an ax and can never hit the target, there are also various other items you can throw. These include hatchets, knives, and throwing stars. However, not all of these items are included in the basic price of a throwing session and some may require payment of an additional premium package fee.

In addition to basic scoring based on where your ax lands on the target, there is an entire booklet of other games you can play to earn points and compete against each other. There are even throwing leagues you can join if you live close enough to a Bury the Hatchet location and are interested. However, keeping score and competing is not a requirement and if you just want to throw for fun you can do that too.

Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
