I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Hard Road to Heaven is a new musical about three generations of country singers.  The story doesn't really break any new ground. Variations of this story have been told many times before. However, that doesn't mean it is not entertaining. It is still heartwarming and full of family vibes both real and found.

If you are in it for the romance, there is not one but three love stories. They are not overly developed, however, because there is quite a lot to pack into one story, and they are not the main focus. It's more about the family. Plus, at least one of the main couples is lacking in chemistry.

What really makes this show are the performances and the music. The cast is terrific all around, and their singing voices are quite lovely. The score is loaded with a slew of brand-new quite catchy songs. You can easily imagine listening to them on your favorite country radio station and at least one or two of them are sure to stick in your head.

And that's our view. For more about Hard Road to Heaven or to purchase tickets, visit bcptheater.org/shows/hard-road.

Tune in tomorrow for Tips for Tuesday.
