I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Fundaes Arcade

We were given complimentary tickets to Fundaes Arcade for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Fundaes Arcade

Where: 105 Saddle Way
             Suite 800
             Chesterfield, NJ

Who: All ages

Me - I really enjoyed Fundaes Arcade. There were a lot of fun games to play. Some of the games, I was already familiar with already, and some I had never heard of before. I really liked playing Air Hockey. Of course, I had played that before but I enjoyed it a lot. I also really liked the Basketball Toss. I am not very good at it, but it's fun.

Another game I enjoyed was the Ring Toss game. I never saw a Ring Toss game at an arcade before only at carnivals but I liked playing it. I also liked the target shooting game. I'm surprisingly good at that. I won around 500 tickets in one round at that game. Unfortunately, the prizes weren't very exciting unless you won a ton of tickets. It would be too expensive to play that many games to be able to win a prize that was actually exciting. It was still fun to play though.

They also had ice cream at Fundaes Arcade. That was my favorite part. Most of the flavors were pretty ordinary, but there were some interesting ones too. It tasted delicious! All in all, I really enjoyed our visit to Fundaes arcade, especially the food!

Mom -  Fundaes Arcade is an interactive play place that opened not long ago in Chesterfield, NJ. It has plenty of fun and exciting games and more that are sure to please the whole family. Here you can find just about every kind of game you are looking for. There are typical arcade games like riding games and shooting games and sports games. There are electronic versions of carnival games like Ring Toss and a game where you throw balls to try and knock down the clowns. There are other games as well like a music game and a Monopoly game and more.  Plus there are other things like Air Hockey and claw machines and even a couple of kiddie riddies.

The game machines do not take cash. You must purchase a game card for playing games. It is easy to keep track of how much is on your card because each time you swipe your card to play a game, it tells you how much is left on the card. Game cards are reloadable. You can also earn free gameplay by signing up for the arcade's email or by or joining their rewards program.  Weekly promotions are offered as well.

Of course, by playing games you earn tickets which can then be traded in for prizes.  Like in most of these places, unless you are a small child, for the most part, the prizes aren't really very exciting. Prizes that are a little more exciting cost an exorbitant amount of tickets.  However, if you are in it for what you are going to earn rather than the fun of the games, you are either a serious gamer or you are likely to end up disappointed.

Fundaes is not only a place to play. It's also a place to get a sweet treat. Their specialty is ice cream. Along with the usual flavors, you may find some interesting ones like a unique blue-colored flavor named after everyone's favorite Sesame Street cookie-loving monster. There are also some other treats available for purchase as well.

All in all, if you like game playing and tasty treats you'll love Fundaes Arcade.

And that's our view. For more about Fundaes Arcade, visit fundaesarcade.com.

Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
