I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Baggage at the Door is Dana Aber's one-woman autobiographical musical about working through the trauma of her four near-death experiences. After nearly being killed four January's in a row, Ms. Abner found herself shellshocked and suffering from severe PTSD which affected her ability to sustain a relationship. Some who have suffered from PTSD or a near-death experience themselves may find her show triggering. Others may find it inspiring.

Despite the serious subject matter, the show is not all heavy. There is some lightness injected into the proceedings. For instance,  there is a song about Angry Birds and a tap dance number about the comfort of cheese. However, even in the lighter moments, there is a meaningfulness and seriousness at the heart of it all. Although it is a bit hard to sit through someone else's trauma for the approximately one-and-a-half-hour running time of the show, there is a kind of hopefulness to it all. After all, if Aber managed to survive all that and come through okay, maybe we can survive whatever our traumas are and come through okay as well.

And that's our view. For more about Baggage at the Door or to purchase tickets, visit www.baggageatthedoormusical.com/
