I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

More Theater Monday - New Shows Coming to Broadway Soon

Broadway is gearing up for the second part of its season. Staring in just a few weeks an array of shows will be beginning performances. Here is a look at some of the new shows that will soon be coming to the Great White Way:


Bad Cinderella - Andrew Lloyd's update of the famous fairytale features a heroine for today and less of a damsel-in-distress needing rescue. The show formerly played a short run in London although the US version has been revised and features an all-new cast.

The Life of Pi - This show is based on the movie of the same name which was in turn based on the book of the same name by Yann Martel. It features a giant tiger and other animals played by puppets but it is not a story for young children. The show also began in London where it is still running.

Shucked - This show is an original musical comedy featuring a book by Tony Award winner, Robert Horn and songs by Nashville's Grammy-winning songwriting team of Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally.

New York, New York - The show is inspired by the Liza Minelli and Robert De Niro film but it features a new story as well as some new songs in addition to songs from the movie.
