Extraordinary Women With Cameras by Darcy Reed is a wonderful book about women photographers. It provides an overview of a wide array of women who have been successful in the field. They include fairly well known women like Margaret Bourke White and Annie Liebovitz as well as lesser known ones like Kunie Sugiura and Franchesca Woodman. Additonally, this books provides definitions of key photography terms and offers photography project ideas and tips for aspiring photographers. Although the book is geared to tween age children, it is really a fascinating and inspiring book for anyone especially those with an interest in photography themselves.
