The annual NAMT Festival of New Musicals was recently held at New World Stages. It was the first fully in-person festival in three years. Six new shows were featured in the two-day festival. Several others were highlighted as well in the Songwriter's Showcase presented at the end of the festival. Although we can't comment on the specific shows presented, we can say that the shows represented a wide variety of styles including magical realism, drama, and dark comedy. They were all quite timely and covered topics that are extremely relevant in today's world. We hope to see more of them in the future.
