Me - Focus Center Stage: 50 Years of the Theater on Film & Tape Archive is an exhibit about all the shows that have been taped for the library. They include all different kinds of shows including plays, musicals, comedies, dramas, and more. In addition, there are numerous interviews with theatrical performers and creatives.
The exhibit includes many pictures. There are also a lot of video clips from various shows which you can watch and listen to. Watching the clips from the musicals was my favorite part of the exhibit. With a library card, you can visit and watch whole shows. However, if you don't have time to watch a whole show or if you can't decide what you want to watch, this exhibit is the next best thing.
Mom - Since 1970, the Theatre on Film & Tape Archive of the New York Public Library of the Performing Arts has produced and preserved numerous recordings of Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional theater productions, and more. If you want to learn a little more about the Theater on Film & Tape Archive and what they do, you won't want to miss the current exhibit at the New York Library of the Performing Arts. Not only will you get to sample clips from a wide variety of theatrical productions in a wide variety of genres, but you will also get to view a collection of rare theater photographs, learn about the founding of the program, and more. If you are a true theater fan, you won't want to miss it.
