Almost Famous is set to begin preview performances at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 W 45th St) in New York City October 3, 2022 with opening night on November 3, 2022.
The digital lottery through Telecharge will offer $45 tickets. Rush tickets are $40 tickets available for purchase in-person only at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre Box Office beginning at 10:00 a.m. for that day’s performance. 6) New Jersey Theatre Alliance Announces New Career Accelerator Program
Seeking Applicants for a Paid Fellowship Program Offering Learning Experience for Emerging Theatre Professionals of Color
New Jersey Theatre Alliance (“The Alliance”), is thrilled to announce their new Career Accelerator Program, a 6-month program comprising three part-time, 8-week placements; two with professional theatres and one with New Jersey Theatre Alliance to learn about theatre administration and management in real-world contexts. In addition to learning in the field, fellows will participate in professional development seminars, one-on-one mentoring meetings, and check-ins with the Theatre Alliance Staff.
Interested applicants must identify as an emerging theatre professional and identify as a person of color. Applicants of color who also identify as Trans or non-binary, disabled, or deaf are highly encouraged to apply.
Applicants may be currently enrolled in college, graduated from college, or finished with high school and not attending college. Adults who identify as emerging theatre professionals, such as those seeking a career change later in life are also eligible for this program. The program is not open to currently enrolled high school students.
Up to three Career Accelerator Fellows will be chosen to participate in the program beginning in January 2023. They will be paid $15/hour, receive a $500 travel stipend, and a $500 stipend to support healthcare, childcare, tuition, debt repayment, or other life needs. Fellows will be matched for placements with New Jersey Theatre Alliance member theatres, all of which are committed to creating a learning experience with specific responsibilities, tasks, projects, and structure.
Applications open on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, and are due by October 11, 2022.

Roundabout Theatre Company is proud to announce that the second season of The Refocus Project, its multi-year project to elevate and restore marginalized plays to the American canon, is now available to stream online for free, through Sunday, October 16. This year’s readings, for which Roundabout partnered with Pregones/Puerto Rican Traveling Theater (PRTT), featured plays by Latinx playwrights, including Sarita by María Irene Fornés, directed by Rebecca Aparicio; The Oxcart by René Marqués, directed by Cristina Angeles; and El Corrido De California by Fausto Avendaño, directed by Galia Backal.

The award-winning, hit Off-Broadway show Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical announced that beginning today, the show will launch a $20 digital lottery and a $30 in-person student rush ticket policy.
The digital lottery is available via StrangerSings.com/lottery for all performances, subject to availability. The lottery opens 7 days in advance of performances and winners will be emailed at least four hours prior to performances. The tickets are $20 each (including $1.50 Facility Fee), with purchases via cash sales only and exact change. Ticket pick-up starts 60 minutes before the performance, and concludes 15 minutes prior to performance. Management reserves the right to reallocate lottery seats which are not picked-up and paid for 15 minutes prior to curtain.
Student rush tickets will be sold in person at the Playhouse 46 at St. Luke’s box office, available starting 2 hours before each performance. The tickets are $30 each (including a $1.50 Facility Fee), with cash sales only and exact change. There will be a limit of two tickets per customer, with a valid student ID. Seat locations will be at the discretion of the box office, and are based on availability.
Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical transports Playhouse 46 at St. Luke’s (308 W. 46th Street) into immersive and in-the-round satirized versions of Hawkins, Indiana, and the Upside Down. Performances continue through January 1, 2023.
