I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

When: Through November 21, 2021

Dear Jack, Dear Louise is a beautiful heartwarming tale of a couple who meet and fall in love through letters. Accordingly, the majority of the play is told through letters. However, unlike many similarly told stories, the story never gets boring but remains interesting and engaging throughout the show.

The action of the story takes place during World War II. Jack is a soldier and Louise is an aspiring actress. They are encouraged to write to each other by either a well-meaning friend or family member (I forget which) and immediately hit it off.

The show is excellent all-around. The story is really touching and the performances are terrific. It is hard to believe that two actors can have such chemistry without really interacting directly with each other but Bill Army as Jack and Amanda Pedlow as Louise definitely do here. Right from the start, you just can't help rooting for their relationship to succeed and blossom into something more than friendship.  Knowing that the play is allegedly based on a true story only makes it that much more affecting. We highly recommend this truly lovely show.

And that's our view. Tune in Sunday for this week's Sunday Scoop.
