I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Giveaway: Win a Copy of Women of Means in the Lady Luck Giveaway Hop!

Welcome to the Lady Luck Giveaway Hop hosted by MamatheFox

It's Women's History Month and so this month we celebrate great women in history and their contributions to society. However, the women who are covered in Marlene Wagman-Geller's book, Woman of Means do not fit into this category.  These women despite having the advantage of being born into or marrying into wealthy families did not lead good and/or happy lives. It just goes to show that money really can't buy happiness.

The book includes the stories of the lives of such well-known women as Christina Onasis and Gloria Vanderbilt as well as those of lesser-known women like Huguette Clark, the daughter of industrialist, William A. Clark and Georgina Hope Hancock, the daughter of Australian prospector, Lang Hancock  If you want to feel better about your live or at least escape from it for a little while, you might want to read this book. For more, see our previous post Tips for Tuesday - Books: Women of Means. Enter to win a copy of this book below:
