I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Books: Woman of Means & Music: Phineas and Ferb: The Movie Candace Against the Universe Digital Soundtrack

We may have been given a complimentary copy of one or more of the books and/or other products mentioned below for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed below are own.

Books: Woman of Means

Today we are recommending Women of Means by Marlene Wagman-Geller. If you are jealous of people with large fortunes and you think the rich have it easy, you will definitely want to read this book. It is full of the tales of women for whom all the money in the world could not give them a happy and/or fulfilled life. Their stories are full of parental neglect, unhappy marriages, drug addiction, and even a murder or two. Hugette Clark heir to the Copper King, William A. Clark, was a virtual recluse all her life.  Leona Helmsley reigned as the Queen of Mean until she was brought down by disgruntled employees whom she mistreated.  Neither Casey Johnson nor Eva Kemany Rausing could stay away from drugs These are only a few of the sordid tales in this fascinating book. Whether you are interested in experiencing a little schadenfreude or you just want to assure yourself that the rich don't always have it better, this is the book for you.

Music: Phineas and Ferb: The Movie Candace Against the Universe Digital Soundtrack

Today we are recommending Phineas and Ferb: The Movie Candace Against the Universe Digital Soundtrack. Phineas and Ferb is a tremendously fun show with enough in it to appeal to both kids and adults. This soundtrack is a delightful addition to the Phineas and Ferb pantheon. It is full of fun catchy generally upbeat songs in a blend of different styles. There is the boy band vibe of Chop Away, the heavy metal feel of Silhouettes, and the bubble gum pop of Such a Beautiful Day, the latter of which ends with a surprising twist to name, just a few. The instrumentals are soaring and calculated to stir your emotions just as much as any theatrical blockbuster theme. The whole thing is just a blast. Having not seen the movie yet, we can only hope that the movie lives up to the fun of the soundtrack and based on our past experience with Phineas and Ferb we are fairly certain it will.

Phineas and Ferb: The Movie Candace Against the Universe Digital Soundtrack is available at  https://disneymusic.co/PhineasFerbWe will also be giving away a digital copy or two of the soundtrack on this blog shortly. Phineas and Ferb: The Movie Candace Against the Universe is available on Disney +.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
