I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Books: Don't Look for Me & Movies: Hidden Orchard Mysteries: The Air B&B Robbery

We may have been given complimentary copies of any books and/or other products and/or complimentary access to any movies mentioned below for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Books: Don't Look For Me

Today we are recommending Don't Look for Me by Wendy Walker.  After a family tragedy, Molly Clarke disappears. Although things seem to indicate that her disappearance is voluntary, her daughter Nicole is not convinced and sets out on her own determined to find out what actually happened. This exciting mystery moves along at a brisk pace. Other than Molly and Nicole, both of whom are extremely strong capable resourceful women, the book is mostly populated with a gaggle of possibly shady characters full of secrets that keep you guessing as to what is really going on. Even when you think you've got it all figured out, the conclusion will most likely still shock you. Although you may not find everything about the ending completely satisfactory especially depending on your sense of justice, all in all it's a gripping and engaging read.

Movies: Hidden Orchard Mysteries: The Air B&B Robbery

Today we are recommending Hidden Orchard Mysteries: The Air B&B Robbery. After a series of robberies occur in their town, a couple of teenage girls set out to uncover what is going on. The main characters in this story are good role models for young girls in their tenacity and their willingness to step up and take action, However, their disregard for the possible danger that they may be putting themselves in is less than admirable and not something that young girls should be emulating. The rest of the characters are sometimes hard to keep track since there seems to be so many of them. Although older kids and adults may be bored by the slow pace and somewhat simple plot of this movie, the lack of actual violence and low level of scariness make this the perfect mystery for tweens or young teens close to the age of the main characters or anyone who enjoys a mystery but doesn't like to be terrified.

And that's our view.

Hidden Orchard Mysteries: The Air B&B Robbery is currently available for rental on most platforms as well as for purchase from most major retailers.

Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
