I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Theater Thursday - Miscast 20

What: Miscast 20

When: Through today September 17, 2020 ONLY

Our view: Unfortunately, because of social distancing requirements theater groups have been unable to hold their usual fund raising benefits. That is actually a lucky break for those of us who can not generally afford to attend these events which usually have incredible entertainment performed by top name stars. Often you can find clips from these performances online, but it is not like getting to see the whole show. However, now that these benefit performances have been forced to go online, they are often open for everyone to view on Facebook and/or YouTube or some other platform.

The latest theater benefit performance to go online is MCC Theater's Miscast 20. The annual Miscast show in which actors sing songs that they would never be able to play in an actual production of the show is always one of the highlight's of the season for Broadway Insiders. Now everyone has the opportunity to share this year's event. The lineup of stars includes Norbert Leo Butz singing I Don't Know How to Love Him from Jesus Christ Superstar and Philippa Soo singing Some Enchanted Evening from South Pacific as well as actors from the original cast of  Hairspray singing The Telephone Hour from Bye Bye Birdie. Other highlights include Robert Fairchild dancing to If You Could See Me Now and Beanie Feldstein dancing to Dancing Through Life plus a whole lot more. Don't miss your chance to view this entertaining extravaganza which will only be available through today!

And that's our view.
