I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Theater Thursday - A Tale to Tell

What: A Tale to Tell

Where: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjkhVB7747E

Who: All ages

A Tale to Tell is a short musical film that puts a unique spin on classic fairy tales. It takes place in a world where fairy tale characters are real,  and they are disappointed to find out that their yearly pantomime show has been cancelled. Spurred on by a couple of disappointed kids, the characters join up to create their own show and broadcast it live over the internet. With a cute story and a handful of pleasant songs, this is definitely a fairy tale for the modern age full of social media references including an Evil Queen interested in getting the most likes instead of being the fairest in the land. It is a show in which art imitates life since in reality the popular English pantomimes were cancelled last year due to the pandemic and the making of this film not only gave the public a  little taste of what they were missing but also put a lot of out of work performers in the field to work. However, you don't have to be familiar with English pantomime to enjoy this show and you don't have to have a long attention span either as the musical runs less than an hour. It is approximately 40 minutes of fun for the whole family.

And that's our view.
