The Museum of Early Trades and Crafts is fascinating and fun. It focuses on how people from colonial times through the early industrial age worked including both the tools they used and how they did their jobs. There are numerous tools and other artifacts on display. There are videos demonstrating how different jobs were performed. There are also interactive exhibits like different materials and objects to touch and a spinning wheel game to play. Touch displays are sanitized frequently and hand sanitizer is available throughout the museum as well although you may still want to skip the interactive exhibits for now. The lower level of the museum is devoted to people in several specific jobs including shoemaking and printing. The exhibit describes in detail how each of these jobs is performed and numerous related objects and tools are on display. It is all very interesting and informative.
Reservations are required to visit the museum and are available at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, or 2:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday. Reservations can be made by calling 973-377-2982 ext. 13 or e-mailing operations@metc.org. Museum entrance fees in the amount of $5 for adults and $3 for students, children and adults 62 and above are payable at the time of your visit. The maximum fee per family is $15.00. Active military personnel and their families are admitted free. Groups are restricted to ten people or less. Mask wearing and social distancing are required.

This is soooo cool. I would love to someday go to this museum. I have a passion for video game "crafting" so I love the professions and job systems in video games. This may give me idea for how to roleplay characters who are based in a medieval game. :)
