I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Me - Watching a movie at TD Bank Ballpark was fun. It was a little hard to hear at times especially because there is a train station right behind the stadium. and every time a train comes in it gets so loud that you can't hear. However, I still enjoyed the movie. We saw The Princess Bride, and I had never seen it before. I liked it. I had wanted to see it for a long time. I was excited to finally get the opportunity to see it. It was a good to get out of the house, and we even got to eat stadium food. The food wasn't as good as I was expecting though. It was kind of disappointing. However, the ice cream was good. A movie at a baseball stadium is not as good as a movie at a movie theater. Aside from the sound, the screen is so pixilated. It is still enjoyable though especially now.

Mom - We recently had the opportunity to see the movie, The Princess Bride, at TD Bank Ballpark, home of the Somerset Patriots. Each group was required to stay socially distanced from every other group. The field was already blocked off in sections for each group when we got there so there would be no confusion although the seating was general admission. You had the option to sit on the ground, although you could bring a blanket or lawn chairs, or  you could sit in the stands. Nobody really sat in the stands, however. The concession was open for a limited amount of time with a limited number of items available for purchase. Masks were required when moving around the stadium, but not when sitting with your group. All in all, everyone was cooperative and polite. It was not quite the same as sitting in the air conditioned movie theater with your feet up in those reclining seats, but over all, it was a pleasant experience. Besides, these days any opportunity to get out and do something fun is a blessing.

And that's our view.

Upcoming movies at TD Bank Ballpark include Ice Age, Star Wars Episode IV, Moana, and The Wizard of Oz. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit
somersetpatriots.com/schedule/2020schedule. Some other teams are having movies at their stadiums this summer as well so if you are not in the vicinity of TD Bank Ballpark, check your local team's website to see if they are having movies at their Ballpark.

Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
