I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Theater Thursday - Heroes

What: Heroes

Where: TADA Youth Theater's YouTube Page  www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2OYAEec-qI

If you only have a short amount of time, and you are looking for some family-friendly fare, TADA Youth Theater's musical, Heroes just might fit the bill. This quick just over 30-minute musical is about a world where the sun has disappeared and a group of kids has to work together to gather up the elements needed to bring it back. It is not necessarily a good show for very small children who probably wouldn't understand the plot, but slightly older children would probably enjoy it especially because it is not as dark as it may sound based on the plot description. It is more of an upbeat musical or as upbeat as a show with a somewhat dystopian plot can be  full of  TADA Youth Theater's usual peppy songs and lively dances. The story is more focused on the children learning what it takes to be a hero than then about the dystopian world they are living in. After all, we all know what it is like to live in a dystopian world now, and we don't need too much of it in our entertainment especially not entertainment for kids. It is a bit hard to understand what the actors in the show are saying and singing at times, but over all, the performances are good and the show is fairly enjoyable.
