I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Giveaway: Win a copy of Postcards from World War II in the May Flowers Giveaway Hop!

Welcome to the May Flowers Giveaway Hop
hosted by Review Wire Media and Chatty Patty's Place

The boat, the Mayflower brought the Pilgrims over from England, thus sowing the seeds for the founding of our country. Since than many battles have been fought both figurative and literal, and many heroes have stepped up when they were needed. The doctors and nurses and various other essential workers on the front lines of the current Coronavirus crisis are only the latest in a long line of heroes who have fought for for our country. Some battles have been fought using tools or medicines, others weapons. Every soldier who has every stepped up to fight for this country is a hero. Postcards from World War II is a book that celebrates some of these heroes specifically those who fought in World War II. Through a series of postcards that actual soldiers sent home during the war, you can read about what life was like for them during the war, what they were thinking about, what they missed and more all in their own words. Accordingly in honor of the upcoming Veterans Day and all our heroes: those of the past and those of today, those who fight their battles on American soil and those who fight in foreign lands, we are giving away a copy of Postcards from World War II. For more about this book, see our previous post Tips for Tuesday - Books: Postcards from World War II. Enter to win a copy below:
