I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday: Books: Girlish & Amelia Moore Mysteries: Volume 1

We may have been given a complimentary copy of one or more of the books or other products listed below for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Books: Girlish and Amelia Moore Mysteries: Volume 1

Mom - Today I am recommending two books.

The first book I am recommending is Girlish by Alana Wulff. Girlish is a book that is all about empowering girls. It is full of quotes from and information about inspirational women as well as journaling  activities for girls to participate in and more. The book is meant to raise girls esteem and make them think about they way they want and deserve to be treated as well as the way they treat others. However, these lessons are imparted in a light and breezy way through this fun book.

Amelia Moore Mysteries: Volume 1 by [Linda Weaver Clarke]

The second book I am recommending is The Amelia Moore Mysteries: Volume 1 by Linda Weaver Clarke.   If you like a good mystery but you are not interested in reading stories that involve murder and other violent crimes, you may enjoy this book. The book is like  a mystery,  a romance and a travelogue all rolled into one. The mysteries in this volume all revolve around locating a missing person. They each take place in a different exotic location with  enough description of the location presented to make you feel like your there but not enough to make the books seem like nothing but a travel brochure. There is also plenty of romance provided in the book through the slow unfurling of the blossoming romance between the two main characters, Amelia and her sidekick, Rick Bonito.  All in all, these stories are interesting, intriguing and fun to read.

And that's Mom's view. Tune in tomorrow for What-To-Do Wednesday.

Stay well! Stay safe!
