One of our favorite books of 2019 is Full Circle from Hollywood to Real Life and Back Again, the autobiography of Full House (and Fuller House's) Andrea Barber. Andrea is known for playing one of the most outrageous outgoing characters ever to appear on television, Kimmy Gibbler. The real Andrea is completely the opposite and is actually quite quiet and shy. The differences between the real Andrea and her character are interesting to read about. The details about what life was like on the Full House set and what all the cast members are really like is interesting too especially if you are a fan of the show. If you are looking for a vicious tell-all detailing backstage feuds and how much actors on the set really hated each other, you will be disappointed. You won't find that here. This book is more of a lovefest in that sense. However, what really sets this book apart from your typical Hollywood memoir is Andrea's candid revelations about her struggles with mental health and her advocacy for the importance of of mental health care for all and the necessity for everyone to get the mental health care they need when they need it.
