I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Holiday Windows Walking Tour 2019

This year's Holiday windows walking tour is a little bit different than last year.  Last year there were six major department stores to visit. This year there are only four since one, Lord and Taylor, closed and another, Barney's, is on the verge of closing and no longer has a holiday exhibit.

Bloomingdales is located at Lexington Avenue between 59th and 60th Street
This year in honor of the 5oth anniversary of the Moon Landing, Bloomingdale's holiday windows' theme is a futuristic outerspace one. As with last year, there are some interactive features including one window where you can have your picture taken and shown on a video screen so you can become part of an intergalatic band.

Bergdorf Goodman is located at located at 745 5th Avenue between 58th and 57th
Bergdorf Goodman's windows this year are full of color and revolve around a variety of fun things including games, a scavenger hunt and a pinball machine.

Saks is located at 611 5th Avenue between 49th and 50th Street
Sakes holiday windows' theme this year is sure to be a hit with the kids. It features Frozen 2. However, only a small number of Saks' windows actually revolve around this theme.

Macy's  is located at 151 W. 34th Street between 34th and 35th Street
Macy's theme this year is the story of a little girl who wants to be Santa Claus. There are a lot of fun interactive features you can scratch a giant dog's nose to make him move or steer a car and more.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
