Me  & Mom - Today we're recommending Inspiring Stories That Make A Difference By 75 Kids Who Changed Their World. This book is from the Loukami Make A Difference Foundation in partnership with the Broadway show Come From Away. In 2004, Nick Katsoris began publishing stories about a little lamb named Loukami. With the books, he started the yearly Dream Day Contest to make a kids dreams come true  for a day which later lead to the formation of the The Loukami Make A Difference Foundation to teach children to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of others. Come From Away is the story of the Canadian towns that opened their hearts and homes to thousands of airplane passengers stranded at the Gander Airport in the days after 9/11. Like the Foundation and the story of Come From Away, this book is about making a postitive difference in the world. Specifically,  it  is about young people who are making a difference. There are stories of kids raising money to support causes that are important to them. There are stories of kids following their dreams. There are even stories of kids just being kind. Every one of these stories will touch your heart and fill you with encouragement for the future of the world.  These kids truly show that anyone really can make a difference even a kid. Me & Mom - Today we're recommending A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood is the story of Mister Rogers as told through the eyes of a dubious reporter who doesn't think anybody could possibly be as good as Mister Roger's appears until he really gets to know Mister Rogers himself.. Although the movie is a little slow at times, it has a lot very touching moments. Besides, if you grew up watching Mister Rogers, as many of us did, the film will make you a little misty eyed and nostaglic for your childhood. The movie is also notable for Tom Hanks excellent performance in the role of  Mister Roger's. He gives another Oscar worthy performance here.
