I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Funtivity Friday - Science Experiment: Can You Color Snow?

Here is a fun experiment we did to see if you can color snow. Try it on your own or try some methods we didn't try.

What We Used:

Blendy Pen
Crayola Color Wonder Marker
Crayola Marker
Crayola Window Marker
Dry Erase Marker
Sharpie
Acrylic Paint
Watercolor Paint
Glitter

What we did:

1) We gathered nine cups of snow, one for each item we wanted to try.

2) We used each item to try to color the snow in one cup.

Our results:

These items did not color the snow:

Blendy Pen
Crayola Color Wonder

Dry Erase Marker

Sharpie
These items were able to color the snow:

Acrylic Paint

Crayola Marker

Crayola Window Marker

Glitter

Water Color Paint

What else can you think of to try?

Enjoy!

Tune in tomorrow for an interview with children's music star, Laurie Berkner.
