What: Your local library
Where: Various locations
Who: All ages
Our view: A fun place to find free things to do for all ages is your local library. Of course, they have story-time for young children. However, they have much more than that. They have art projects for different age groups and sometimes even take home art projects. They have movies. They have special activities. Libraries in our area that we have been to have had such things as sidewalk art days, and Lego building contests. They have also had puppet shows. live theater and carnivals. Some library activities are one day events. Others are classes that may meet for a period of several weeks. Not all activities are for young children either. Libraries have activities for all ages including teens and adults. Some libraries may even have passes that can be borrowed for free admission to museums or other places to go in the area. The library we sometimes go to has passes for approximately eleven different fun places to go. However, in our experience this number is extremely high and most libraries have passes for much fewer places if any. If you want to know what is going on at your local library, check out their web-site or just stop by and check it out. They may even have something fun going on when you stop by. However, just remember that while some library activities are drop-in activities others may need to be signed up for in advance.
