Our view: If your kids are crazy about the movie Frozen, this is event is for you. If your family is anything like ours and everything makes you burst into song, this event is for you. If you want to go to a movie where you don't have to worry about shushing your kids or yourself when they or you start singing along, this is the event for you. If you don't like to hear a large of group of children (and adults) singing loudly and/or you are sick of the movie Frozen than this is not the event for you. It seems like there have been a lot of these Sing-A-Long movies over the past few years or so. This one is different. Most of those movies including The Sound of Music and Grease were not really suitable for very young children whereas this one is. The second and more important difference is price. Most of those other Sing-A-Long movies cost somewhat above the normal ticket price for a movie. It is kind of strange though when you think about it since the audience provides the extra entertainment not the movie theater. This Sing-A-Long, however, is completely free as part of the State Theater's Customer Appreciation Day (they will also be showing the movie Guardians of the Galaxy for free later that day at 4:30 PM.) Since, the movie is free, and it is immensely popular, and they are not taking reservations, we would highly recommend going early if you go at all. Popcorn, candy and juice boxes will be available for purchase at the theater.
And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for another Talking Topic.
