I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Theater Thursday - & Juliet

What: & Juliet

Where: Stephen Sondheim Theatre
              124 W. 43rd St.
               New York, NY

Who: Recommended for Ages 12 and Up

What if Juliet didn't really die at the end of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. That is the basic premise of the rollicking new Broadway show that reimagines the doomed damsel as a feisty feminist heroine. The show first opened to audiences in London's West End in 2019 and has been exciting audiences there ever since (as long as theaters have been open) although it will be closing soon. After a short stint in Toronto, a new production of the show is now exciting audiences in New York City.

The show is a jukebox musical based on the songs of the prolific songwriter-producer, Max Martin. It is full of catchy earworms that you probably know well and won't be able to get out of your head like "Baby One More Time", "I Kissed a Girl" and "I Want it That Way." The story is amusing. The dancing is lively. The acting is terrific. The set and costumes are incredible and full of color. It's just an all-around fun time in every way.

And that's our view. For more about & Juliet or to purchase tickets, visit andjulietbroadway.com.

Tune in Sunday for this week's Sunday Scoop.
