I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Books: The Fame Game An Insider's Playbook for Earning Your 15 Minutes & Movie: Hi I'm Blake

We may have been given complimentary copies and/or access for review purposes to any products, and/or visual or audio media mentioned below. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Book: The Fame Game

Today we are recommending The Fame Game An Insider's Playbook For Earning Your 15 Minutes by Ramon Hervey II. Ramon Hervey II is a longtime entertainment manager and publicist. His book provides an intriguing and informative look at what it takes to obtain and maintain fame through an examination of the work he has done with many of his famous clients over the years. They include Bette Midler, Richard Pryor, The Bee Gees, and more. There is even a whole chapter on the rehabilitation of his ex-wife, Vanessa William's image after the Miss America scandal. Whether you have an interest in becoming famous or not, it's fascinating reading especially if you love to read about celebrities.

Movie: Hi I'm Blake

Today we are recommending Hi I'm Blake. This is an inspirational film about Blake Hyland, a talented young athlete whose life was changed in an instant when he suffered a traumatic brain injury in a gym accident. Barely expected to live, Blake defied the odds. Although his life was not exactly the same as it was before, he not only survived but learned to walk and talk, graduated from high school, and attended college as well.

However, that isn't even his greatest legacy. Blake is well aware that his survival and recovery were due to the extraordinary level of care that fortunately he was able to receive and that not everyone in a similar situation is able to afford and/or receive that same level of care. Accordingly, he has become an advocate and spokesperson speaking out for the right of other traumatic brain injury patients to receive the care they need. This film will make you cry, it will make you smile, and most of all, it will fill you with hope.

Hi I'm Blake is available on digital platforms now.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday
